Check out this damage made from a squirrel chewing the valve! While we are collecting sap and making syrup, much of our time is also spent in the woods repairing damage like this! Squirrels will also chew holes in the tubing decreasing our vacuum levels, ultimately, losing out on sap! They must be able to smell the sweet sap running through! I guess we can't blame them
This year we have been fortunate to make some great relationships with local landowners, and have leased an additional 30 acres. We are currently in the process of expanding to twice our size! We have spent the summer, fall, and winter installing all the required equipment such as tubing, tanks, and taps. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our community and customers for all of the continued support. Looking forward to the 2017 season and all that it will bring!
The Fingerlakes Lavender Festival at Lockwood Lavender Farm was a great event! Gary and Karen Lockwood always do a fantastic job. We had a blast talking with everyone who came by our table. We love hearing the stories of who the syrup is being gifted to, or in what recipe it will enhance! Next up is the Skaneateles Curbstone Festival - known to the locals as the Sidewalk Sales! We will be there Thursday and Friday (7/21/16 - 7/22/16) from 9:00am - 8:00pm, and Saturday (7/23/16) from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Stop by and see us!
